Progressive Ophthalmic Practice looking for an energetic new team member who wants a rewarding career in HealthCare to work as an Accounts Receivable Associate. This position is responsible for billing operational duties and requires accuracy, thoroughness and good understanding of practice policies, while adhering to the highest standards of billing practices.

Job Duties:

• Excellent communication skills, written and oral, must have the ability to communicate with Physicians, staff members, patients and insurance companies; works as a positive team member.
• Ensure all billing and collection functions are handled thoroughly and professionally.
• Extensive knowledge of Ophthalmology medical billing, inclusive of Accounts Receivable processes.
• Performs regular review of insurance follow up, patient collections, insurance/cash posting and transaction posting; ensuring proficiency.
• Performs Insurance transactions, including processing electronic insurance payments, review payments and refund requests; balancing accounts.
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Medical office billing experience preferred
