We focus on sustainably farmed, estate wines made by combining old world winemaking techniques in a modern, state-of-the-art, solar-powered wine facility.

Job Description:

Sunset Hills Vineyard is looking for friendly, outgoing, and enthusiastic associates with a passion for wine, food and people. Exceptional customer service and communication skills are essential.

Tasting Room Associates will provide guests with a warm and welcoming atmosphere designed to educate and excite them about Sunset Hills Vineyard’s estate wines. Tasting Room Associates will use their knowledge of wines, winemaking, and Sunset Hills Vineyard’s mission to deliver a one-of-a-kind experience for our members and guests through active listening and world-class hospitality.

Compensation & Benefits:

- Part time: $25 /hr (including tips and club commissions)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide an exceptional, end-to-end service experience for each visitor by greeting and welcoming all guests in a warm and sincere manner; doing everything possible to ensure a memorable and pleasant guest experience
• Create a unique experience for each guest by engaging them on the wine/flights/tastings available and assisting them in selecting wines that fit the guest’s wine preferences
• Promote the wine club and accurately convey all information regarding the club to guests
• Prepare the Tasting Room for the day’s activities
• Routinely assist in the cleaning of glasses/dish-ware and other Tasting Room necessities
• Keep the tasting room and all guest areas safe, clean, and neat
• Participate in company-sponsored wine educational and development opportunities

Qualifications:

• Weekend and holiday hours are required
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• 1-3 years of hospitality and customer service experience
• Prior wine knowledge is a plus, but not required if you are excited to learn!
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills
• Ability to operate a cash register and be comfortable using our technology including iPads for ordering
• Ability to lift and move 40 pounds repeatedly and walk/stand for long periods of time
• Ability to understand and accurately follow written and verbal instructions

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
