Maximum Services is Hiring a Bookkeeper/ Accountant Near Kremmling, CO

We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper/ Accountant to join our team to manage our business financial transactions.

The job duties include working closely with our team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process payroll, accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments. Our ideal candidate holds a Finance degree (preferably followed by accounting courses) or equivalent work experience and is an expert with QuickBooks software.

Ultimately, the candidate’s responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company and report directly to the company CPA & ownership regarding the financial position of the business and ensure compliance with all tax regulations.

Responsibilities:

Manage and record all accounting and financial transactions day to day and complete the posting process.
Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct ledger.
Bring the books to the trial balance stage.
Perform partial checks of the posting process.
Complete tax forms.
Enter data, maintain records, and create reports and financial statements.
Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner.
Prepare budget forecasts.
Publish financial statements in a timely matter.
Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
Ensure timely bank payments.
Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
Report directly to the ownership on the company’s financial health and liquidity.
Audit financial transactions and documents.
Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
Comply with financial policies and regulations.

Requirements and Skills:

Proven bookkeeping and accounting experience.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
Advanced MS Excel skills.
Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and good analytical skills.
BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration or equivalent practical work experience.
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted. Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Hands-on experience with QuickBooks accounting software.
Experience with general ledger functions.
Process time for AR to meet bi-weekly deadlines.
Team player.
