Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Lead and manage the back office team, ensuring top-notch performance and patient care.
• Patient Care: Welcome patients warmly and prepare them for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort.
• Clinical Assistance: Take dental radiographs (x-rays) and assist the dentist with 4-handed dentistry.
• Instrument Management: Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed for procedures.
• Sterilization and Maintenance: Sterilize instruments according to regulations and maintain a clean, well-stocked dental room.
• Patient Education: Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions to patients.
• Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling and payment procedures.
• Supply Management: Oversee supply ordering to ensure the practice is well-stocked with necessary materials.
• Lab Case Management: Maintain and manage all lab cases efficiently.
• Team Support: Address and manage issues with dental assistants, ensuring a cohesive and effective team.
• Training and Accountability: Train dental assistants and hold them accountable for their duties and performance.
• Liaison Role: Act as the liaison for the back team, facilitating communication and coordination with the front office and dentists.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a dental assistant.
• Proven leadership abilities and a strong work ethic.
• Fluency in Spanish is required.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization methods, and health & safety regulations.
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills and experience with Open Dental (preferred).
• High school diploma required; graduation from a dental assistant school is preferred.
