Performs supervision of janitorial employees across multiple locations in Washington, DC. This position is responsible and will be held accountable for behaving in accordance with organizational values and expectations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Quickly respond and deploy to various locations throughout the DC metropolitan area.
• Ensures cleanliness of all assigned facilities.
• Conduct quality inspections of all facilities on a daily basis.
• Ensures services are being performed to standard by enforcing Quality Control Plan procedures, reviewing reports and taking corrective measures.
• Supervises assigned janitorial employees during all assigned shift times (which may include weekdays and assigned weekends).
• Orientates and trains new employees.
• Establishes the staffing requirements for various functions on a daily basis.
• Review labor variances, budgets, costs and inventory control records to ensure labor and supply are within budget while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Re-trains and coaches staff on daily custodial responsibilities as needed.
• Conducts proper floor care training/procedures.
• Direct and supervise scheduling of work load adjustment with the Leads, and Cleaning Staff.
• Effectively coach, counsel and discipline employees.
• Participate in the hiring of custodial/janitorial staff
• Track employees' weekly hours for payroll purposes.
• Ensure janitors have necessary chemicals and supplies onsite.
• Address quality discrepancies immediately with employees.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver necessary inventory to respective sites as needed.
• Ensures the supply and utility rooms are maintained and in a clean and proper condition daily.
• Assist and monitors inventory control.
• Prepares weekly quality control reports and written inspection reports.

Qualifications and Experiences:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Multiple Site / Multiple Unit management experience preferred.
• Experience in managing/supervising 20 or more direct report employees
• Must be able to work varied hours including evenings and weekends.
• Must possess valid driver’s license as driving will be required.
• Must be able to pass all required government background checks.
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience with at least two (2) years in a multiple site management position
• Knowledge of janitorial industry.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has supervisory responsibility for the janitorial staff at multiple sites in the DC area.

Travel

Frequent travel between multiple contract locations.

Language:

• English (Spanish is a plus)

Physical Demands

Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/ carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
