A busy, well-established plastic surgery practice with eight offices in Northern Virginia and Montgomery County, Maryland, is looking for an administrative/medical assistant. Three days per week will be spent assisting one of our busy plastic surgeons with both hands-on and administrative work, with the other two days to include medical office administrative work, answering calls, etc. The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, comfortable with basic patient care, excellent with multi-tasking, and able to handle high patient volume. It is not imperative that you have medical office experience, but you should have some administrative experience as well as a basic understanding of medical terminology. You will be involved in all aspects of supporting a sophisticated plastic surgery practice, including, but not limited to, front office patient interaction, patient care coordination, insurance pre-authorizations, and hands-on patient care. This challenging job affords the opportunity to gain exposure to the many aspects of managing a medical practice as well as clinical exposure. This position is primarily based in our McLean and Alexandria office locations, but may require occasional travel to our office in Reston. Starting pay ranges from $22-$24 per hour based on experience.
