QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of experience serving in a clerical position;
  • Computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint).

Preferred:

  • Prior experience with the rules of the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE).

Special Demands:

  • Possible exposure to physical risk.
  • Occasional nights, weekends, or holidays required.
  • Some travel required.
  • Must be willing to undergo an FBI Background Investigation.
  • Must be able to maintain trust with sensitive and confidential information

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The position will report to the Senior Director/Chief of Police for job responsibilities and other College related activities as outlined in the Policies and Procedures Manual. Essential duties include but are not limited to the following:

· Utilize computer programs to complete clerical duties (Word, Excel, Publisher, in-house computer systems as well as State Databases with sensitive information, etc.);

· Perform basic bookkeeping;

· Answer phones;

· Welcome/assist visitors;

· Set appointments/maintain the departmental calendar;

· Interface with other law enforcement agency personnel;

· Assist with NIBRS crime reporting;

· Data Input for Reports Management System (RMS);

· View and record video surveillance footage from the campus video system;

· Maintain a professional appearance;

· Be punctual and dependable; and

· Complete basic data entry.

CONTRACT & SALARY:

$13.00 per hour, in addition to excellent employee benefits. Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States must be verified for the successful candidate.
