Accounts Assistant required. My client is firmly established in the Edinburgh area as a premier Taxation and Registered Auditor practice. Due to recent growth, they are seeking an accounts assistant to join their friendly and welcoming team who pride themselves on their ability to deliver technical excellence, thoroughness and, above all, professionalism.
My client provides a comprehensive range of services including taxation, audit, accountancy and financial advice. Their taxation department offers expertise across a broad spectrum of taxes, both domestic and international while our accountancy department offers audit services, business start-up services outsourcing arrangements and general business advice.
Part-Time Accounts Assistant Position Overview

• Prepare management accounts
• Prepare year end statutory accounts
• Weekly/fortnightly/monthly payroll
• VAT returns

The client base is highly varied and will provide challenges. Ideal candidate will be able to work in a small team, engage with clients and use initiative is very important.
Part-Time Accounts Assistant Position Requirements

• Working knowledge of Xero, Sage and IRIS
• Previous experience working in an accountancy practice is essential
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word used in a paperless office
• Ability to take initiative, prioritise and meet deadlines
• A highly organised individual

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in an accountancy practice.
Part-Time Accounts Assistant Position Remuneration

• Up to £37,000 salary (pro rata)
• Flexible working hours available
