Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology. Duties:
- Assist Physical Therapists in providing treatment to patients
- Implement therapeutic exercise programs under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions
- Educate patients on exercises and activities to improve their condition
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Requirements:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics and individuals in occupational health settings
- Familiarity with outpatient clinic procedures and hospital medicine
