Boulevard Animal Clinic is looking for an assistant to join our team! We are a small privately owned and operated veterinary clinic in Olympia, WA. Our focus is on a positive work environment and providing quality medical, surgical, and dental services to our canine and feline patients. We are looking for someone with veterinary, animal, or medical experience who has a positive, helpful attitude, wants to learn and expand their skillset, and provide an outstanding experience for our clients and patients.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Animal restraint
• Customer service
• Working effectively and efficiently with a medical team
• Assisting with medical record keeping
• Assisting in diagnostic and medical procedures performed on pets
• Communicating effectively with clients, coworkers, and other individuals
• Specimen collection and handling
• Cleaning and laundry

Required Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Skills

• Animal handling
• Basic computer literacy as well as basic proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Professional and effective communication
• Fundamental knowledge of veterinary care and terminology

Required Experience

• Prefer 1 year veterinary experience

Or

• Will train the right person with 1 year or more medical and customer service experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.28 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 – 36 per week
