Behavior Technician
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician (Registered Behavior Technician preferred) to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism, by implementing behavior therapy techniques and assisting in the implementation of care plans. BidWell Behavior provides applied behavior analysis (ABA) services to individuals in home, school, and community settings. We provide services all throughout Butte County (primarily in Chico, Paradise and Oroville) as well as in Tehama County (Corning and Red Bluff). Applicants should be comfortable working in a variety of settings, working collaboratively with other care providers, and willing to commute to the areas mentioned.
Duties:
- Work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities to implement behavior therapy interventions.
- Conduct data collection and maintain accurate records of client progress and behavior.
- Assist in the implementation of individualized care plans under the supervision of a Board Certified behavior Analyst.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care for clients.
- Provide support in activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of medical records and client information.
- Commute throughout service area as needed
Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and strategies.
- Familiarity with data collection methods and maintaining documentation.
- Understanding of care plans and ability to assist in their implementation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team as well as individually.
- Valid drivers license and auto insurance
- Pass a background check with the Department of Justice
- Must have ability to work 15-30 hours per week with open/flexible schedule Monday through Friday during business hours of 8:00 am - 7:00 pm
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Proficiency in HIPAA regulations.
- Experience in data collection and analysis.
- Previous work with medical documentation.
- Certification as Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
