Burch Shepard Family Law Group, APC is an elite law firm seeking a Paralegal to join their dynamic team. We provide comprehensive legal services to individuals and families, helping them navigate complex legal matters with professionalism and compassion. We are looking to grow our team with the addition of a full time, skilled, and reliable Paralegal. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, eager to learn and grow with our firm, and can navigate a multitude of personalities and affairs. This position will report directly to the Managing Attorney and collaborate with the Firm’s leadership team.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Help draft motions, responses, declarations, financial disclosures, correspondence and other family law documents;

· Assist with assembling of trial binders, exhibits, and appendices for court filings, depositions and mediations;

· Calendar upcoming court hearings and other deadlines;

· Collaborate with supervising Attorney and provide general administrative support;

· Prepare for hearings, trials, depositions, interrogations, and other legal meetings;

· Prepare for discovery and responding to discovery requests from clients and opposing counsel;

· Managing client accounts, billing, and collections;

· Other duties as assigned

Preferred Skills:

· Demonstrate brisk decision-making skills in high-pressure situations;

· Rank priorities based on importance, urgency, or other criteria;

· Meticulous by nature and ability to see assignments through to completion with limited supervision;

· Can collaborate with a diverse team, managing attorneys, and office staff;

Experience:

· Legal drafting: 1 year (Preferred)

· Legal research: 1 year (Preferred)

· Discovery: 1 year (Preferred)

· Court Filings: 1 year (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
