Carothers Pkwy Vet Clinic is Hiring a Veterinary Technician Near Brentwood, TN

Hello!

Carother's Pkwy Vet is looking for a new veterinary technician to join our growing team and hospital. While LVT or LVMT is preferred, we also highly value experience and would consider a candidate with a proven skill set.

Allow us to share a couple of reasons with you why CPVC is different from other veterinary hospitals.

1) We have a focused and strategically implemented plan in place for learning and development. If you have worked in another hospital or are currently working in a hospital, you likely feel like your personal development, knowledge, and skill set have been put on hold as you and the the rest of the hospital are working to simply get through the day. This is a common concern among veterinary support staff in our field, but CPVC has put systems in place to focus on your growth. The more effective you are at your job, the more you will love it. We know that, so we invest in our staff.

2) We work to uphold the highest standards of care. Our motto is "If it's best for the pet, best for the client, and best for the practice, we will do it." This means that you will have the opportunity to participate in best case medicine and gain experience that can translate across our field wherever your career may take you from here.

3) We demand that all team members take responsibility for developing a healthy workplace culture. It is difficult to spend 10 hours a day with anyone, but especially with individuals who bring negativity and discord. CPVC is proud of the team that we have here and are blessed that many of them are friends even outside of work. We believe this is a direct result of allowing our workplace to be a place that cultivates friendship.

We work hard, and we work fast. It is heavy at times; that's the nature of medicine. However, if you are willing to learn, to grow, and to push yourself for the betterment of our patients and clients, then you will do well here.

Some Responsibilities of the Veterinary Technician include:

- Educate clients regarding preventative and prophylactic care

- Create and confidently explain a plan for medical services to clients based on pet's history, symptoms, and DVM orders

- Understand and stay updated on pharmaceuticals, disease management, and treatment options available today.

- Maintain a professional demeanor to be an ambassador for best case medicine to each client

- Advocate for each and every pet, ensuring that pet owners are given all the resources necessary to make an educated decision about the health of their pets.

- Work along the patient care team to ensure services are being performed as elected by the client

- Calculate medication dosages using basic medical math to prepare for surgical induction, operation, and recovery.

- Assist the DVM in surgical monitoring, and intraoperative procedures.

- Conduct routine follow up calls with clients to ensure they had a satisfactory visit, that their pet is experiencing an appropriate therapeutic response, and answer new or unresolved questions.

Please reach out today to schedule a zoom interview so we can tell you more about out hospital and answer any questions you may have.
