Chabad at ASU is Hiring an Executive Administrative Assistant Near Tempe, AZ

Who we are:
Chabad at ASU is a Jewish non-profit organization in the Tempe area here to provide a warm and welcoming "home away from home" to the Jewish community of Arizona State University. If you have experience being an Admin Assistant who is organized and strives to get the job done effectively and efficiently then apply today! We are looking for a dedicated team player who can join our staff to provide clerical support to the Executive Director and manage day-to-day operations of the office.

Job Type: Full-Time

Monday - Friday between the hours of 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

(Some Sundays will be required)

Pay: DOE (Minimum of $20/hour)

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Bachelor’s Preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years experience working as an Executive Administrative Assistant in an office setting

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Executive Director with day-to-day operations, including maintaining contact with donors via e-mail and other forms of communication
  • Assisting the Executive Director in scheduling and managing calendar
  • Personal assistant to the Executive Director, such as, booking flights. All tasks relating to the day-to-day operations
  • General maintenance and management of Chabad grounds
  • Stuffing and mailing envelopes for mass mailing of fundraising letters
  • Answering incoming phone calls
  • Paying monthly utility bills
  • Accounts receivable/payable
  • General support to office staff, including taking minutes during staff meetings
  • Manage office inbox and correspondence
  • Additional duties as needed

Skills and Requirements:

  • Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Gmail and Google Drive
  • Possess a knowledge of database and presentation software concepts
  • Organized, self-motivated and willing to take initiative where appropriate
  • Able to work constructively and cheerfully in an environment that can be stressful with multiple interruptions, changes and delays
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills
  • Highly adaptable and ability to work in family-friendly, fast paced environment
  • Dependable vehicle
  • Type a minimum of 50 WPM

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience with social media platforms: Facebook and Instagram
  • Possess a knowledge of Canva.com
  • General IT knowledge

*We will not review resumes that do not include a minimum of 2 years Administrative experience. Must be eligible to work in the United States and have valid Driver's License. Criminal background check will be required.
