Chalkboard Wings & BBQ is hiring a marketing and administrative assistant to help us grow our business. This position will wear many hats as we go along, and will eventually turn into multiple positions as we grow our catering and popup business.

Marketing tasks include social media, email, text, direct mail, and other forms of marketing. In addition you will be charged with assisting our owner with bookkeeping, invoice management, and generally helping keep our calendar organized for events and meetings. While some experience is very much appreciated, the main job requirement is someone who is able to keep things organized and able to take initiative and take tasks to completion. Along with an hourly rate, there will be bonuses and commissions available when booking or organizing catering gigs and events. This position does require some attendance at events, and remote working is not available.

Owned by C.J. Cross, the managing partner at Hops N Shine in Del Ray, Chalkboard Wings & BBQ has the same vibe that HnS provides as a neighborhood bar, while having a heightened food experience through our extensive wing menu, wood smoked BBQ, and smash burgers. Chef Philip Monteforte, a 23 year kitchen veteran, heads up our culinary team. We offer 13 beers on draft, another dozen in can/bottle, as well as an extensive whiskey and cocktail list. Stationed in the Mount Vernon/Woodlawn neighborhood of South Alexandria, Chalkboard will also executes pop-up food experiences at local breweries, farmers markets, and apartment complexes. We are actively expanding our catering team right now.
