Clark Street Daycare, a long-established daycare in Westerly, RI is looking to hire multiple caregivers for the Daycare Preschool Programs. We have a variety of opportunities coming available in our ever-expanding offerings for infants 6 weeks- children 12 years old. No nights or weekends, Shifts available from 7-530, full and part-time availability.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Ed Coordinator to deliver the center's creative RIELDS based curriculum.
• Employ a variety of educational techniques (modeling, storytelling, educational play, etc.) to reach children.
• Observe and assess each child to help them improve their social emotional competencies while building self-esteem.
• Guide children to develop their cognitive and practical capabilities through the center's established successful curriculum.
• Implement and monitor nap and meals times strictly following all state rules and regulations for safety and success.
• Report to parents daily as to child's activities as well as keep them informed of child's needs for food and supplies.
• Communicate with parents through monthly classroom newsletters concerning curriculum and Home Connections
• Fit successfully into the team of teachers so as to help each and every member of the staff with kind support.
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards that strictly adhere to RI state Rules and Regulations.

Requirements:

• Willing to be trained in all aspects of RI Childcare Health and Safety Regulations
• Adherence to all safety and procedural expectations as outlined by the state of RI for Daycare and Preschool education centers.
• A willingness and enthusiasm to work with the educational methods employed at the center for the healthy productive development of all aspects of toddler preschool learning skills
• A genuine fondness and familiarity with the skill levels of Toddlers and Preschoolers
• Committed to using productive compassionate modeling behaviors for early childhood students for dramatic play, socioemotional development, gross and fine motor skills as well as academic concepts.
• Excellent communication and instructional skills
• Consistent ability to commute to Clark Street Daycare for scheduled/assigned work hours.

Pay: From $14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
