Children's Music Teacher/Facilitator

The Enrich Childcare Program is looking for an energetic, loving, talented music instructor to teach music classes. As a teacher/facilitator, you'll be working with children ranging from 2 months to 12 years of age, teaching programs that incorporate singing, dancing, moving, and exploring percussive instruments in a positive and fun environment. Music education or music experience working with children is preferred.

Early Childhood Development Music Teacher/Facilitator

Job Duties include:

• Teaching mommy/caregiver and me music classes, ages 2 - 36 months
• Interacting with customers including collecting payments for classes
• Facilitating music experiences for daycare classes, children ages 2 months - 5 years
• Facilitating music experiences for school aged children, 4 - 12 years old

• Singing and playing guitar/ukulele; teaching basic beginning guitar/ukulele skills

• Disinfecting/cleaning after each class and setting up for the next class.

• Playing and interacting with children. Make sure children are sharing/taking turns, and interfering if there are any issues between the children.
• Optional for additional income: Individual piano lessons for young beginners

Qualifications:

• Experience teaching ages 0 - 12 years

• Able to sing on pitch and play basic guitar/ukulele required, piano optional
• Repertoire of children’s music and/or ability to learn and memorize new songs quickly

• Musical background (or a music degree) preferred

• Enjoys working with babies, toddlers, and young children

• Patient, outgoing, and energetic

• Loves being around and interacting with children and parents

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
