DESCRIPTION:

THE ROLE:
We are looking for local artists or art teachers to instruct their work and lead planned creative sessions at our flagship studio or in partnered locations. As a Creatif Art Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching, interacting and communicating effectively with people of all ages and backgrounds. You will be required to work independently to lead the art classes and assist 15-20 students at a time, in creating their art projects.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, AND ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Be well versed in various art forms and have excellent artistic, research, and organizational skills
Promote a safe and positive environment during all sessions
Able to work independently with minimal oversight
Implement proper techniques for group and class management
Must be able to multi-task; be productive, focused, and flexible in a creative & sometimes chaotic environment
Provide clear instructions and guide the individual/group throughout the entire session.
Instruct participants on the safe and proper use of supplies and equipment
Model positive and proactive attitude, demonstrate a pleasant and professional manner, maintain accurate attendance records and follow all reporting procedures
Ensure that the class space and all equipment are left clean and orderly
Actively supervise and ensure participant safety at all times
Interact professionally and appropriately with participants, guardians and team members.
Comply with all studio policies and procedures
Promote and cultivate positive personal interaction with patrons, party coordinators and management
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience as an instructor, teacher leading groups of customers/artists.
College level drawing preferred
Experience in developing art curriculum
Experience working with kids
Additional background and screening tests will be required to qualify for this position
REQUIRED:
Must be able to lift 30-40 lbs.
Ability to stand, bend, reach and scoop throughout assigned shift
Successful candidate will need a reliable source of transportation
Flexible schedule with availability during weekdays and weekends
Experience working in a kid friendly environment

Knowledge of:
