Diaspora Law, a boutique immigration law office in Elizabeth, NJ, seeks a talented and dedicated **Translations Coordinator** to join our dynamic team. As a Translations Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in bridging language barriers and ensuring our clients' needs are met with precision and care.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Coordinate Translations:**

- Manage the translation of legal documents, correspondence, and other materials from various languages into English and vice versa.

- Ensure all translations are accurate, consistent, and culturally appropriate.

- **Liaise with Clients:**

- Communicate with clients to understand their language needs and ensure accurate and timely delivery of translated documents.

- Maintain a positive, welcoming, and professional demeanor, setting the firm’s first impression.

- **Quality Control:**

- Review and proofread translations for accuracy and consistency.

- Maintain quality standards and legal requirements in all translated materials.

- **Vendor Management:**

- Collaborate with a network of freelance translators and translation agencies to meet project deadlines and maintain quality.

- **Project Management:**

- Oversee multiple translation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and budget-friendly completion.

- **Support Legal Team:**

- Assist attorneys with language-related queries and provide linguistic support during client meetings and consultations.

**Qualifications:**

- **Language Proficiency:** Minimum bilingual in Spanish. Multilingual is a plus. Proficiency in English and good writing skills are required.

- **Experience:** Previous experience in translation or interpretation, preferably within a legal setting.

- **Interpersonal Skills:** Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.

- **Organizational Skills:** Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks successfully.

- **Technical Skills:** Experience with a multi-line telephone system, Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn new software.

- **Dependability:** Punctuality and reliability are essential.
