Title: Group Coach/Athlete Trainer

Overview:

A group coach leads any small to large group fitness class under the direction of the Equilibrium Fitness Coaching Director. An athlete trainer creates and coaches workouts for the multiple hockey teams we run sessions for here at Equilibrium Fitness. They are responsible for making sure all clients reserved for class are accounted for and are paid for in Equilibrium Fitness’ Zen planner software.

Responsibilities:

In collaboration with other trainers, coaches, employees and directors of Equilibrium Fitness you will:

• Enroll clients, prepare and implement individualized training strategies for Equilibrium clients
• Prepare and execute group training sessions within or outside Equilibrium Fitness’s training premises based on market demands for group training
• Invoice clients, collect monies and write receipts to clients through the software system, zen planner
• Confirm client attendance in zen planner for each scheduled session
• Address clients by name during each class.
• Regularly cue athletes on proper movements and suggest proper workout scaling.
• Regularly attend classes and develop relationships with all members
• This includes, but is not limited to, leading from within by attending one class per week of any of our service offerings. It is mandatory to take at least 4 classes per month.
• Sell new and current clients on additional Equilibrium’s services, upgraded memberships, etc.
• Provide ongoing support and check-ins for retention with current clients
• Positively represent and market Equilibrium’s services to current and potential clients
• Assist in maintaining, cleaning, and resupplying consumables for the facility
• Attend all scheduled meetings
• Recurring meetings with the Equilibrium Fitness Coaching Director
• All-Staff quarterly meetings (mandatory)
• Respond to all communications in a timely manner
• Assist in the promotional endeavors of Equilibrium Fitness through group participation, public speaking, and delivery of promotional materials
• Operate and oversee Equilibrium Fitness as an attendant as scheduled
• Adhere to all guidelines, rules, and standards set forth in the staff playbook presented to you

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour

Experience:

• Wellness coaching: 1 year (Preferred)
• Group fitness: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• AED Certification (Preferred)
