We are looking for an experienced and passionate Business Analyst to provide professional support for our projects for the State of Florida in Tallahassee, Florida. The Business Analyst will work with a team of Technical staff, Business Analysts, and Consultants to implement and support enterprise business solutions. This is currently a hybrid work position that can be converted to an on-site position in the future. The candidate must be located in Tallahassee for in-person meetings.

We are looking for a self-starter to assist in complex, multidisciplinary project assignments. The candidate will serve as a liaison between the business group leaders, contract manager, and the development team to deliver technology solutions to support the business needs. The Business Analyst will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions, meeting with stakeholders to discuss business processes, translating information compiled from meetings into written materials including mock-ups and business requirements, translating business requirements into functional specifications, and assisting with creating process workflow models/process maps and documentation to support various client projects and initiatives.

You bring expertise in these areas:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a business analyst, with proven experience in Requirements Collection, Compilation and Documentation and Standard Operating Procedures development.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Agile Software Development and Waterfall methodologies.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps and/or Team Foundation Server (TFS) to create work items/requirements and communicate with the development team.
• Minimum 5 years of experience conducting Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions with client stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in translating business requirements into detailed functional specifications from which programmers can develop the solution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in translating the information from meetings and written materials into business process maps/workflow models.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and experience communicating and working with clients

Nice to Haves:

• Experience working with public agencies, financial data/transactions management, and field data collection applications.
• Experience with government organizations on needs assessment and gap analysis projects.

c. Knowledge of Food, Nutrition, and Wellness (FNW) business processes, Florida Direct Certification (FDC) Application, and Florida Automated Nutrition System (FANS) Application.
