Early Childhood Resource Center is Hiring an Early Childhood Specialist Near Akron, OH

Early Childhood Resource Center in Akron, Ohio has an opening for an Early Childhood Specialist.

The Early Childhood Specialist & Trainer will:

  • Coach & support early childhood child care center administrators and teachers on-site with system building practices to improve quality such as: curriculum implementation, Step Up to Quality (SUTQ) requirements, lesson planning, meeting Ohio Department of Job & Family Services (ODJFS) licensing requirements, etc..
  • Train early childhood administrators and teachers in person and virtually
  • Conduct classroom observations and assessments
  • Coach and provide professional development to infant toddler teachers
  • Support child care programs in Stark, Summit & Medina counties
  • Support Ohio Child Care Resource & Referral Association (OCCRRA) career pathways of early childhood educators

Early Childhood Specialist Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Experience working in the early childhood field
  • Experience working with infants and toddlers
  • Familiarity with Ohio’s SUTQ & ODJFS child care licensing requirements
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and Zoom
  • Must be a non-smoker
  • FBI & BCI Background checks will be conducted by employer
  • Physical will be arranged and required by employer
