They also provide a quality experience to children and parents focused on the YMCA core values of honesty, respect, responsibility and caring.

Essential functions include, but are not limited, to: providing active supervision to a group of children in the program at all times, including during travel on busses; planning and implementing indoor and outdoor program activities that are developmentally-appropriate and consistent with YMCA values; adhering to program standards including health, safety and cleanliness standards; following YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies; maintaining positive relations with parents and other staff, and modeling relationship-building skills and interest in an individual child’s activities; setting a positive example that will influence favorable conduct by the children, and more. Camp staff are required to work 8 of the 9 weeks with one week vacation allowed.

We are hiring for the following positions:

DAY CAMP COUNSELORS FOR K-3RD GRADE – Must be 16 years and older

ADVENTURE DAY CAMP COUNSELORS – Must be 18 years and older

CROSSROADS CAMP COUNSELORS – Must be 21 years or older

MUSIC COUNSELOR – Must be 18 years and older. Responsible for daily music class and creating/implementing a curriculum for 1st – 3rd graders.

STEM – Must be 18 years and older. Responsible for daily STEM class and creating/implementing a curriculum for 1st – 3rd graders.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to plan, lead and participate in a range of activities in a variety of outdoor/indoor settings.
