Five Star Race Car Bodies is Hiring a ​​​​​​​QA Technician Near Twin Lakes, WI

Quality Technician

Five Star is looking for a skilled Quality Technician to join our quality assurance team. The Quality
Technician will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of materials, components, and
finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. The ideal candidate
will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining
high-quality standards in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and
finished products to verify conformance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments, gauges, and testing equipment to conduct accurate and
reliable inspections.
  • Document inspection results, non-conformities, and corrective actions in accordance with
established procedures and record-keeping requirements.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address and resolve quality issues in a timely manner,
including identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conduct first article inspections (FAIs) and process capability studies as required to support new
product launches and process improvements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of inspection procedures, work instructions, and
quality control plans.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of inspection areas, equipment, and tools to ensure a safe and
efficient work environment.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall
enhancement of the quality management system.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in quality assurance or
related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment, preferably in an ISO
9001:2015 certified company.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical
documents.
  • Strong knowledge of inspection techniques, methods, and tools, including calipers, micrometers,
and height gauges.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and documentation requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately record and document inspection results.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify root causes of quality issues and implement
effective corrective actions.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across
departments and interact with suppliers and customers.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced

environment.
