Heron Pointe Apartments is looking for a dependable, energetic, and friendly Head of Maintenance who has a keen eye for detail, enjoys working with the public, and has solid mechanical/technical knowledge. Responsibilities:

Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks

Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems

Check functionality of safety systems including smoke/carbon monoxide detectors

Install appliances and equipment

Maintain grounds including trash pickup, lawn care, etc.

Perform snow/ice removal

General clean up in clubhouse and on property

Promptly address work orders and other issues as needed

Collaborate with construction crews and other professionals for repairs and preventative maintenance

Report to manager or assistant manager any issues or preventative measures needed

Any other duties as assigned by manager

Requirements:

Proven experience in Residential Maintenance or similar position

Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems

Experience using hand and electrical tools

Ability to read technical manuals and drawings

Very good communication and interpersonal skills

Physical stamina and dexterity

Ability to adapt to weather conditions

High school diploma or equivalent
