Here or There Healthcare is Hiring a Medical Office Receptionist Near Corpus Christi, TX

Position Summary:

Position requires excellent customer service skills with patients, vendors, and the public. Individual must be flexible, organized, and must be able to manage a demanding workload with accuracy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Maintain outstanding professional phone management skills
  • Manage a multiline telephone system efficiently and politely, minimizing hold time
  • Utilize eClinical Works EMR to schedule new and follow-up appointments
  • Confirm next day appointments
  • Collect co-payments, including cash, checks and credit cards
  • Obtain patient demographics and update as needed at each visit
  • Verify insurance information/eligibility
  • Check patients in and out in a timely, friendly manner
  • Process enrollment forms, register new patients, create new patient charts
  • Scan pertinent patient information into EMR
  • Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions when necessary
  • Respond to emails as needed
  • Ensure incoming and outgoing mail is processed properly

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2 years of experience working as a medical office receptionist
  • 2 years of experience using eClinical Works EMR
  • Pleasant phone demeanor; bilingual (Spanish) speaker preferred
  • Friendly and compassionate disposition
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Understanding of basic healthcare terminology
  • Outstanding of verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer skills required, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Dedication to maintaining confidentiality of all patient records according to HIPAA

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
