Job Summary:
The Selling Manager at Aberdeen Carpet One is responsible for selling flooring, managing staff, and overseeing store operations. They guide customers in selecting and installing the right flooring, aiming for customer satisfaction by making the experience easy and enjoyable. Job Requirements & Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent, Associate degree preferred
Experience: 5 years of experience.
Skills: Computer Skills, MS Excel, MS Word, RFMS, Type 40 or more WPM
Licenses / Certifications: First Aid / CPR / Forklift / DL
Physical Requirements: Lift 50 pounds or more. Walk, bend, stand, and sit for several hours at a time. Use hands and fingers to operate a computer & telephone
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Observe and Operate by the Kugel Corporation Core Values
- Observe and Perform the Kugel Workman’s Code
- Measure and create estimates for flooring and related products and provide customers with a quote promptly.
- Prospect, qualify, and generate sales with both new and established customers, including being willing to divide time between the showroom floor and prospecting for new clients.
- Network regularly and work effectively with other store employees and within the community.
- After the completion of each job, follow up with the customer to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Follow up with all customer requests or concerns within one working day.
- Stay updated on our wide range of floors, including benefits, warranties, and installation details.
- Provide clear and precise work orders and drawings for orders prior to scheduling.
- Lead weekly meetings with the Aberdeen flooring team.
- Handle customer complaints, warranty claims, and returns.
- Schedule showroom coverage and cover the showroom if needed.
- Assist in making decisions on products to carry in the showroom.
- Assist in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and marketing strategies to support store objectives, including advertising campaigns, sales promotions, budgeting, and HR functions for the flooring division.
- Attend continuing education and training courses as may be required by leadership team.
- Provide reporting to company leadership as requested on the status of WIP, future work, budgets, financial and/or other Carpet One division objectives.
Miscellaneous:
- Perform other related & miscellaneous duties as reasonably assigned by Leadership.
- Be proactive and ask questions if objectives are unclear.
Initial Key Results Areas (KRAs): First 180 days
- Increase outreach to prospective customers.
- Complete Carpet One sales certification and stay current with online training.
Other Information: (Travel, Work Schedule, etc.)
- Out-of-town trips may occasionally be requested.
