The Deli Manger position at Jumbo Foods has the potential to earn up to $80,000 a year.

** Previous Culinary/Restaurant experience is required and applicants must be willing/able to relocate if currently living outside Enid/Immediate surrounding area**

Summary/Objective:

The Deli Manager supervises the work of all the Deli employees and management in all Delis. The Deli Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Deli at all locations.

Reports to:

Fresh Director and General Manager

Essential Functions:

· All areas of customer satisfaction and service, including but not limited to, responding to customer requests, questions and complaints.

· Directs the work flow for the deli with staff, including scheduling of staff

· Works and communicates successfully with all levels of customers, management and employees.

· Plans, coordinates and implements all company procedures, policies and procedures.

· Abides by all state and federal regulations.

· Assists with unloading trucks.

· Makes sure the deli is clean and orderly, properly stocked, priced, signed, tagged and rotated.

· Assist with monthly Inventories.

· Maintaining pricing, profitability, promotions, shrink, sales and merchandising.

· Maintains accurate records of deli sales and purchases.

· Receives merchandise assuring the correct count and proper charges.

· Requesting and verifying receiving credits for merchandise – that is damaged and/or short on delivery.

· Maintains purchasing of deli products for sale to customers.

· Completes invoice calculations on a weekly basis.

· Performs deli duties, including stocking, ordering and maintaining cleanliness in department.

· Stocks merchandise accurately and between code tags on the shelf as assigned and required by management.

· Walk-Outs with Employees Daily

· Walk-Outs with Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager Daily

Competencies:

· Leadership Skills - Creating a positive atmosphere for all employees and customers

· Basic oral and written communication skills

· Basic math skills

· Knowledge of all equipment in the deli department, including slicers, grill, fryer, warmer, smoker, rotisserie, stove, oven, kitchen equipment, kitchen appliances, pallet jack, box knives, order machines, calculators, adding machines, box bailer, service carts, telephone and FM unit.

· Independent problem solving skills

· Ability to work quickly, accurately and independently in an efficient manner

Supervisory Responsibility

Deli Manager supervises all deli employees. This position manages the hiring, corrective counseling and discipline of employees, directs employee workload, guides, and trains and coaches employee’s performance on a daily basis. This position requires implementation, compliance, monitoring and enforcement of all Policies & Procedures, written or implied for all employees equally.

Work Environment

Retail environment. May work multiple shifts and varied shifts. This position requires working weekends and holidays. Minimum work week of 5 days or 45 hours.

Physical Demands

· This position requires long hours of standing and walking

· Use of repetitive motion such as grasping and fine manipulation

· Must be able to keep head and neck in static position, recommend frequent flexing and rotation exercises

· Position requires frequent bending and push/pull

· Requires occasional squatting, climbing, reaching above shoulder, kneeling, crouching

· Must be able to carry and lift up to 24 pounds, may lift up to 70 pounds

Required Education and Experience:

High school or equivalent
