Summary: The Operations Manager is responsible overseeing the manufacturing and production of our diverse line of fence products. Working to increase efficiency of the production machine of the business whenever possible.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees operational systems, processes, and infrastructure while looking for opportunities of improvement or revision.
  • Re-organizes the manufacturing facilities to optimize efficiencies.
  • Assists inventory manager to continually assess inventory levels and turns and enforces inventory reduction, reallocation, or sales/marketing of slow turning material.
  • Track operational and tactical risks and providing strategic solutions.
  • Helps focus operations on top profit-making product lines and making those departments more efficient and productive.
  • Plays a significant role in long-term planning, project status reporting, and implementing change control processes.
  • Works closely with Financial Controller on other special planning and departmental projects.
  • Oversees and reports weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual metrics.
  • Collaborates with other team members to ensure seamless business execution, reinforce positive morale, and uphold company values.
  • Collaborates with transitions and onboarding team as needed.
  • Raises and tracks issues and conflicts, remove barriers, resolve issues of medium complexity involving stakeholders and escalate to appropriate level when required.
  • Assesses a variety of situations and provide clarity to team and ownership.
  • Solicits and responds to feedback while gaining commitment and support.
  • Supports Companywide training programs, reinforcing tech and operations infrastructure between departments to ensure consistency and quality standards are met.
  • Directly manages the production managers, inventory manager and shipping manager.
  • Works closely with management team to ensure all operational, administrative, and compliance functions within the Company are being properly executed in accordance to regulatory-based best practices.
  • Review production data monthly and address inaccuracies
  • Compare payroll data to production data to make sure we are reporting hours correctly
  • Identify bottle necks in mfg. and adjust or recommendations for improvements to increase productivity
  • Address production, quality, purchasing and shipping issues that cause RMA’s
  • Liaison between all departments to resolve issues and improve communication
  • Ensure OSHA safety standards and reporting is met
  • Assist in monthly audits and resolve issues that are unresolved by production/shipping/sales staff
  • Hold manufacturing management accountable for their responsibilities
  • Monthly audit of work orders and "at shipping" to make sure production and shipping are meeting deadlines.
  • Managing over shipping and ensuring that policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Works directly with ownership to execute their overall goals for the Company.
  • Other duties as instructed.

Experience and Education:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have at least 3 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have basic knowledge the Microsoft Suite of products.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with, lead and motivate others.
  • Fluent in Spanish a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • You must be able to be on your for long periods of time
  • Must have the ability to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Requires the ability to work indoors and outdoors, communicating with manufacturing and office staff.
