IVS Computer Technology is Hiring a Sales and Purchasing Coordinator Near Bakersfield, CA

The Sales and Purchasing Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting both the sales and procurement functions within the organization. This position requires a dynamic individual who excels in multitasking, communication, and attention to detail. The primary responsibilities include:

1. Sales Support:

  • Assist the sales team in generating and preparing sales quotes and proposals for potential customers.
  • Communicate with customers to gather necessary information and provide support throughout the sales process.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure accurate and timely completion of sales orders.

2. Purchasing:

  • Manage the procurement process by researching, selecting, and negotiating with vendors to obtain competitive pricing and terms.
  • Place orders for inventory, supplies, and equipment as needed, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and reliability of products and services.

3. Customer Service:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, concerns, and order status updates.
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly and effectively, striving to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as logistics and finance, to address customer needs and resolve any related issues.

4. Administrative Tasks:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, purchase orders, and customer interactions using CRM and ERP systems.
  • Prepare reports and analysis on sales and purchasing activities, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in inventory management, including tracking stock levels, conducting regular audits, and coordinating with warehouse personnel.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Act as a liaison between the sales and purchasing departments, facilitating communication and collaboration to ensure seamless operations.
  • Coordinate closely with sales representatives to understand customer requirements and provide timely assistance in generating accurate sales quotes.
  • Collaborate with purchasing team members to align procurement activities with sales forecasts and customer demand, optimizing inventory levels and cost-efficiency.

6. Scheduling Installations:

  • Coordinate with customers and internal installation teams to schedule product installations according to customer preferences and availability.
  • Ensure efficient allocation of resources and timely completion of installations, minimizing downtime and maximizing customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate installation schedules to customers, providing necessary instructions and addressing any concerns or special requirements.
  • Monitor installation progress and resolve any scheduling conflicts or delays proactively to maintain high service standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven experience in sales support, purchasing, or customer service roles.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with CRM and ERP software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
