Here is the Role:

The Program Manager is responsible for leading a team of JCIDS (Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System) and PPBE (Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution) analysts as well as one technical writer. They oversee the successful execution of complex, multi-disciplinary programs involving capability development, requirements definition, resource planning, and technical documentation. The Program Manager ensures timely delivery of high-quality program outputs and manages the team to meet all program objectives, milestones, and stakeholder requirements.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the JCIDS and PPBE analysis team as well as the technical writer
• Manage the overall program lifecycle, including planning, execution, and closeout
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define program scope, objectives, and requirements
• Develop and oversee the program schedule and budget, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
• Monitor program performance and risks, and implement mitigation strategies as needed
• Facilitate coordination and communication between the JCIDS, PPBE, and technical writing functions
• Mentor and develop the team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work
• Represent the program with senior leadership and external stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and standards

Skills and Experience you need:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., project management, business, engineering, or a related discipline)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in program management, with exposure to JCIDS and PPBE processes
• Strong understanding of capability development, requirements definition, and resource planning
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Proven track record of successful program delivery and team management
• Experience in technical writing and documentation processes

Extra Credit if you have:

• Master's degree in a relevant field
• PMP or other relevant certification
• Experience working in a defense or government environment
• Knowledge of agile project management methodologies

Travel Requirements:

• Must be willing to travel up to 10-15% nationally and internationally for client business as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Work is performed in hybrid/remote office environment and requires operating standard office equipment and keyboards.
• Must be able to lift small packages or other items up to 20lbs and travel short or long distances in a car, airplane, or other vehicle of transportation to client destinations nationally and internationally if needed.
