Essential Duties
- Take incoming calls and email from customers and apply job knowledge to accurately complete each customer transportation request. Follow-up with the Operations Manager for dispatch of drivers to customer locations.
- Utilize effective communication skills to ensure that both internal and external customers have received the necessary follow-up to each inquiry until the transaction has been completed to their satisfaction.
- Escalate customer issues within established guidelines to ensure timely resolution.
- Track billing data to assist the finance department in invoice generation.
- Update daily operational and revenue reports.
- Maintain and update customer profiles as changes occur.
- Actively participate and contribute to employee engagement activities.
- Assist with projects per business needs.
- Possess a positive attitude and a high level of motivation.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively support potentially stressful situations.
- General office and customer service experience necessary
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Microsoft Office proficiency and typing skills are required.
- Transportation industry knowledge is a plus.
