Art/Speech/Drama TeacherMammoth Spring School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer looking for an Art Teacher with additional certification in English, Speech, or Drama with possible coaching duties for the 2021-2022 school year. The Mammoth Spring School District is looking for applicants with prior experience and the capabilities and knowledge to teach Art, Speech, and Drama. The Mammoth Spring Art, Speech, and Drama teacher will develop an educational program with Art, Speech, and Drama.Applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree in Art, Speech, and Drama Education and an Arkansas Teaching License Code 2020 and 274.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS1. Responsible for the instructional program, specifically facilitating learning within a school classroom and other assigned areas.2. Developing lesson plans and delivering group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines.3. Supervising students; collaborating wier teachers, other professional staff, to addressators in addressing instructional and classroom issues.4. Respond to various inquiries from students' parents or guardians regarding instructional programs and student progress.5. Responsible for advising the Art, Speech, and Drama classes. The Art, Speech, and Drama Teacher will be expected to have active groups. The teacher must serve as an advisor for these groups. It is necessary that the teacher spend time in planning and conducting leadership, citizenship, and cooperative activities for students at the district, state, and national levels; therefore, the instructor will also need a CDL to transport students.6. Plan and conduct an organized instruction program and community involvement with adults. This may include, but is not limited to alumni and booster clubs. Most of this instruction will be given after school, at night, and during the summer.7. Supervise students at all off-campus activities associated with Art, Speech, and Drama, such as conventions, contests, workshops, and field trips, among others.8. Maintain professional and personal ethics in dealing with students, parents, community leaders, etc. You are a person of influence in the community.9. Other Duties AssignedPROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT1. Continue professional growth by holding membership in professional organizations.2. Regularly attend and participate in district and area in-service meetings.3. Attend summer workshops that are designed to provide professional skills and information.4. Dress and conduct themselves in accordance with professional standards.PROGRAM EVALUATIONEvaluation of the Art, Speech, and Drama program shall be done on an organized and annual basis. This can be accomplished by:1. Developing program goals and objectives that are challenging and reasonably obtainable.2.Evaluating outcomes of instruction.3. Working with an advisory committee and others to determine the improvements needed.4. Making changes and adjustments when needed. The Art, Speech, and Drama Teacher will be responsible for maintaining facilities and equipment through the following activities;1. Proper arrangement of classroom, stage, and storage area;2. Planning for and maintaining visual aids and references;3. Ordering new equipment and supplies;4. Coordinating the maintenance and repair of equipment;5. Establish and monitor school procedures for keeping classroom, and storage areas neat at all times;6. An annual inventory of all equipment and supplies is taken, and a copy is given to the appropriate administrators.
