Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Operator is to maintain and/or improving the quality of the product manufactured. Operators must fill out various checklists and department paperwork that is related to quality and production and will be responsible for maintaining department standards for all lines and equipment. The Operator will follow all recycling procedures including plastic scrap, cardboard, and cores. The Operator is responsible to maintain and promote a Safe Work environment. The Operator must be willing to perform other tasks as assigned.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Must be able to complete all required training (procedures, equipment, safety).

• Follow all safety rules/instructions. Report any safety issues to the Supervisor.

• Must be willing to perform all items listed in the Packer Job Description.

• Perform housekeeping tasks.

• Give breaks to other Operators and Packers.

• Basic computer skills, ability to work with HMI's (Human Machine Interface)

• Ability to obtain a forklift license and operate it safely.

• Lift up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally.

• Must be able to lift and install roll shaft into roll of material.

• Must be able to use hoist to put roll of material onto unwind stand.

• Must be able to feed roll of material through Thermoformer.

• Must be able to make simple adjustments to the Thermoformer.

• Perform visual inspection of products; identify attributes to quality in the thermoform product.

• Wrap finished production pallets and move into warehouse.

• Handle scrap and fill out Daily Scrap Sheets.

• Safely Load Semi Trailer with finished product.

• Must have mechanical aptitude.

• Able to use hand tools and read a tape measure.

• Assist Set-up Technician as needed to help ensure setup time and quality standards.

• Supply the Thermoformer with items needed to run production. Correct material, boxes, bags, and other items.

• Perform other duties as required.

Must be able to function in a hot work environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
