Metrolina Regional Scholars Academy seeks a full time middle school social studies and language arts teacher to become part of our faculty for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal teacher for this position is passionate about working with gifted children, committed to innovative pedagogy, and demonstrates a personal commitment to life-long learning. It is recommended that the candidate have experience developing curricula, command of language arts instruction; and the ability to develop students in areas of social-emotional learning. Scholars Academy seeks an individual who loves children, models professional ethics, and understands the rewards and challenges of teaching gifted children.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• Successful teaching experience in middle school level language arts
• Excellent communication skills
• Has strong classroom management and organization skills

Desired Requirements

• Hold an advanced degree in teaching area
• Two or more years of successful teaching experience
• Be fully licensed or willing to obtain North Carolina teacher licensure
• Experience teaching and/or working with gifted students
• Are independent, reflective, flexible, and adaptable
• Work comfortably with technology
• Has a certification in teaching gifted students

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
