Job Title: Child Preparation Contractor

Job Summary:
The Child Preparation worker must already work in the field of Adoption or Foster Care and have at least one year of experience as it relates to performing this SWAN service.

The Consultant must have a strong passion for Child Preparation and a clear understanding of its purpose and goals.

The ideal consultant will have a comprehensive understanding of the SWAN requirements for the service, be able to show examples of their work and provide proof of their good standing with other affiliates.

Responsibilities:
- Use and be familiar with the Child Preparation Recipes for Success document

-Make outreach to caseworkers and family/youth within 3 days of assignment

-Create a Child Preparation Plan within 10-15 days of the assignment and submit to the supervisor

-Engage with children and youths twice a month and perform child preparation activities

-Communicate with the supervisor within 24 hours of phone calls or emails made to them

-Complete and store all work on the affiliate's secure HIPPA approved Share Point Server

-Be available for Zoom supervision once a month and submit spreadsheet supervision once a month

-Submit child preparation work to the supervisor on a bi-monthly basis

- Complete benchmarks twice a month and document contact with CUA, contact with the family/child/youth, visits to the home, issues, important details of the case

Skills:
- Experience doing Child Preparation
- Understanding of Special Needs Children
-Compassionate caregiving approach toward children/youths at risk
- Knowledge of online tools to gain child preparation ideas

Pay: $18.38 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
