Prepare journal entries and accruals.
Work proactively and cooperatively with other team members and members of management.
Maintains general ledger accuracy by monthly account reviews/reconciliation and financial statements for month-end close.
Ensure timeliness of the month-end close process and completeness and accuracy of accounting records in accordance with US GAAP
Research, prepare, and perform audit requests for internal and external auditors
Monitoring internal control procedures.
Prepare audit selections and workpapers for auditor review.
Respond to ad hoc requests for financial information/operational analysis
Manage daily activities of Accounts Payable staff, including vendor payments.
Audits invoices against purchase orders, researches discrepancies
Responding appropriately to vendor, client & internal requests.
Maintains & files all accounts payable, expense reports, & company credit cards
Maintain electronic & hard copy filing system, retrieve documents from filing system
Financial Accountant Qualifications
Bachelors Degree
Financial analysis skills and working knowledge of US GAAP
Knowledge of General Ledger & reconciling GL to sub-ledgers
Experience in the MFG industry is a plus but not a deal-breaker
Advanced MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) demonstrated on resume.
Knowledge of ERP systems
Be a proactive problem solver, arriving at creative and effective recommendations for improvements and enhancements in financial and non-financial operations.
