Mike's Famous Harley-Davidson is seeking an Experienced Service Writer in the Automotive, Powersports or Motorcycle Industry.

Attention Harley® Enthusiasts!! This is your opportunity to join an award winning Harley-Davidson® dealership located in a historic Coca-Cola® factory.

Candidates must be honest, self-driven, and results-oriented, with a passion for the brand and a focus on the superior customer service standards.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assist Service department manager in maintaining a smooth running efficient service department with a high degree of customer satisfaction.

· Diagnose problems accurately, and clearly describe them on the repair order.

· Estimate costs and completion times at point of sale. Clearly communicate them to customer.

· Assign jobs to technicians based on skill level and current resource utilization.

· Review work-in-progress to ensure quality and timeliness.

· Occasionally assist technicians when they are having difficulty performing service work.

· Determine correct part numbers on repair orders and assist the parts department with picking and posting of parts before job starts.

· Perform cashier functions, as needed.

· Make estimates for internal and accident repairs.

· Follow procedures for quick and efficient handling of warranty items, including and proper storage of these items.

· Open & close all customer paid, warranty, and internal repair orders.

· Become familiar and efficient with all phases of the computer system required for service and parts management

· Provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers.

· Greet customers immediately, in a courteous and friendly manner.

· Handle telephone transactions quickly, and courteously.

· Promptly notify customers of any changes, delays, or additional work needed.

· Sell additional services by pointing out service specials or additional work needed.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and comfortable multi-tasking.

· Interact with customers both in-store and on the phone.

· Follow a structured sales process.

· Have working knowledge of the Harley® model families.

· Be able to effectively manage open repair orders.

· Proactive follow up with current and previous customers.

· Maintain a high degree of customer satisfaction with the ability to handle customer complaints

Qualifications & Job Requirements:

· Motorcycle background preferred but not required

· Harley-Davidson® enthusiast preferred but not required

· Weekend availability

· Possess sound judgment and decision making ability

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
