MTS Seating, headquartered in Temperance, MI, seeks an Employee Service and Payroll Coordinator to work in our fast-paced office environment. The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills and be detail-oriented, outgoing, and engaging. This position will report to the Employee Service Manager and work cross-functionally throughout MTS.

Hours: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm/Monday – Friday Required Skills/Abilities:

Be reliable and maintain strict confidentiality
Courteous phone skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience with NOVAtime, DM Payroll Services, or general payroll tasks is beneficial
Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintain employee, payroll, and safety records
Assist in weekly payroll and periodically process payroll solely
Process payroll account transactions(Example: bonuses, garnishments, deductions, taxes, terminations, new hires, raises, and workers compensation)
Enter piece rate cards and calculate tablet entry data with 100% accuracy
Assist with new employee onboarding and recruiting
Develop and implement employment ads for job fairs
Maintain attendance and vacation records for all employees
Maintain employee performance review files
Issue write-ups and notifications based on attendance records
Order supplies and maintain the office supply room
Attend yearly employment law education seminars
Assist with miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor
Education and Experience:
A minimum of 1 year of Employee Services or Payroll experience
