Norbeck Montessori has an opening for an Aftercare Teacher in our school. Norbeck offers a Montessori education, as well as quality before and after-school programs, provided by our professional and caring staff. We have preschool programs with extended, full and half-day plan options. Our teachers are dedicated to assisting each child in attaining their optimal education and social potential. Through the Montessori teaching methodology, we provide an enriched program that makes learning challenging, exciting, and enjoyable.

The qualified candidate will have a strong work ethic, be flexible, have a passion for working with young children, as well as excellent communication skills.

Specific Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the supervision of all children, at all times.
• Assist in preparing and participating in classroom and outdoor activities.
• Assist in preparing/attending to snack.
• Responsible for assisting children’s individual needs, as required.
• Ensure the classroom is clean and presentable at all times.
• Assists in maintaining consistency and order in the classroom.
• Monitor classroom needs/supplies.

• Responsible for the wellbeing of ALL children at all times.
