OUR FAMILY DOCTOR CLINIC is Hiring a Medical Assistant Near Wesley, FL

We are a growing primary care physician's office actively looking for an enthusiastic, team player, self-motivated, vibrant and experienced Medical Assistant who is also experienced with front office duties to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interviewing patients and updating their chart
  • Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatment plans, and medication instructions
  • Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments.
  • Phlebotomy
  • Administer vaccines and injections as directed by healthcare providers
  • Knowledge with office procedures as EKG
  • Assisting physician with minor office procedures like skin biopsy.
  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Answering and triaging phone calls.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as check in and check out patients, verify insurance and schedule appointments
  • Obtain referrals
  • Communicates in a cordial, professional manner with patients via phone and in person to meet the patients’ needs as soon as possible.
  • Complies with all OSHA and HIPPA policies along with all policies and procedures established by OFDC
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Joyful and positive attitude
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrates interpersonal skills by effectively communicating with all levels of management, staff and outside vendors
  • Strong emphasis on organizational skills and strong attention to detail and ability to multi task.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Ability to deal with data that is of a sensitive and confidential nature (HIPAA).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • EMR experience preferably Eclincal works
  • Spanish speaking is preferred
  • Minimum one-year prior experience in a medical office required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
