Seashore Highlands is Hiring an Activity Director (Life Enrichment Coordinator) Near Gulfport, MS
Activity Director - Full-Time - 8:30a - 8:00p
We are currently seeking a passionate and creative Activity Director/ Life Enrichment Coordinator to join our team and help us create fulfilling experiences for our Elders. You will play a vital role in promoting the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our Elders. Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to) designing and implementing a wide range of activities, events, and programs that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our Elders. You will be responsible for fostering a sense of community, purpose, and joy among our Elders, ensuring that their time with us is enjoyable and enriching.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Recreation Therapy, Gerontology, etc.) preferred but not required.
- Previous experience working with seniors in a similar role is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for developing engaging activities and events.
- Ability to adapt and tailor activities to meet the unique needs of residents.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Compassion and patience when working with residents.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
