RBF Inc is currently seeking candidates for both full time and part time small parcel delivery driver positions. We are independent contractors for a well known top 50 Fortune 500 company which has been offering small parcel delivery services to the public for over 40 years. We have been operating in the Dothan area since 2010 & our contracted operations include a fleet of 30 delivery vans and and a team of over 30 full & part time drivers.

Permanent full time as well as part time positions are available. We are willing to work around existing school/work schedules for part time employees. Our scheduling is flexible, including both weekday and weekend operations that will require availability every other Saturday (or 2 Saturdays a month). Some Sundays may be required during the Christmas time rush, though our normal days of operation are Monday-Saturday.

Drivers report to work at our dispatch location at 566 Sam Houston Blvd in Dothan at 7:30 am and most delivery routes return to the terminal before 5 pm.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old, able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, & DOT physical. A good driving record is also required. Job related driving experience is a plus but all new hires must complete a driver training program during orientation, regardless of previous driving experience. All vehicles in our fleet are under 26,000 lbs so a CDL license is NOT required, but you will be driving a delivery step van that falls under commercial DOT guidelines.

Some vehicles in our fleet are smaller Ford transit vans, but preference is given to candidates comfortable with driving a larger step van or box truck style vehicle. Operation of the smaller vehicles is generally reserved for part time employees.

Applicants should be self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a constantly changing environment. Strong organizational skills, ability to read maps well and to work fluently with web based GPS routing applications is also required.

Physical requirements include the ability to lift 75 pounds without assistance and move up to 150 pounds with the assistance of equipment. Applicants must be comfortable working in outdoor situations exposed to heat & cold and in inclement weather.

A 5 day training period for new hires in required and training pay is $15/hr.

After training, starting pay for drivers is $130-$150/day depending upon experience & ability.
