We are a progressive real estate company located in a desirable area on the north shore, specializing in commercial property management, real estate consulting, brokerage, development, and consulting services
We are seeking a person who can seamlessly begin working as a property accountant for our property management firm. Below details some of the individual tasks and requirements of this position. We offer a positive working environment as well as a competitive compensation and benefits package.
Job Responsibilities:
· Experience with and an understanding of accounting software and Excel is required, knowledge of AppFolio a plus.
· Preparation and analysis of individual property financial statements.
· Cash management for all properties and operating entity.
· Bank Statement reconciliations and maintenance of all bank accounts.
· Assist in the preparation of escalations for real estate taxes and operating expenses.
· Assist property managers in budget development.
· Communicate with clients on receivables, payables, distributions, funding, cash flow needs, etc..
· Communicate with tenants on rent payments, late fees, etc.
· Prepare monthly reporting packages for distribution to clients and property managers.
· Make daily bank deposits. A
· Assist property managers in the development and tracking of rent rolls and lease abstracts.
· Create new tenant charges and verify billings for accuracy.
· Prepare utility billbacks and expense tracking.
· Assist in special projects as required.
· Strong organizational skills required.
· Positive attitude, professionalism, attention to detail, organizational skills and flexibility are some of the traits required for this position.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Proficient in Word, Excel, etc.
- 4 year college degree with some accounting courses
- Ability to multi-task
- Excellent customer service skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
- Model behavior that is consistent with company values
- Requires knowledge of financial terms and analysis
