STARFISH HERO is recruiting part-time one on one behavior aides to work with youth in Eureka, Arcata, Fortuna and surrounding communities. Employees schedule will depend on employee’s availability and agency needs. We provide behavior intervention programs for neurodiverse individuals and people with other behavior needs. The support we offer our clients are informed by applied behavior analysis (ABA) and our approach is rooted in empathy, respect, humility, authenticity, anti-ableism, and genuine care. By combining evidence-based ABA interventions with a humanistic, anti-ableist approach, we aim to provide the highest quality of behavioral and skill acquisition services available.

Current Job Duties:

*Ability to work with individuals who possess autistic spectrum related concerns and other developmental disabilities in the home, community, and school settings

*Ability to follow through with behavioral support and skill acquisition plans as directed by clinicians

*Ability to work with a variety of character styles and situational concerns in a professional and caring manner

*Ability to record data as requested for both behavioral challenges and skill acquisition

*Strong work ethic in which consistency, reliability, compassion, and care are at the forefront of decision-making

* Most shifts are in the mid-late afternoons and evenings. (Between the hours of 2-7pm)

Current Job Requirements:

* Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent with a willingness to learn

*Ability to transport clients in the community, ensuring client safety at all times. This includes maintaining a vehicle that is in safe working order consistent with the California Department of Motor Vehicle standards.

STARFISH HERO provides:

*Ongoing training from Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) or other licensed professionals

*Mileage reimbursement ($0.67/mile)

*Travel time reimbursement when minimum mileage requirement is met
