Job Summary: This full-time position reports to the Youth Programs Director and represents Selfless Love Foundation’s One Voice IMPACT (OVI) and Independent Living program by corresponding through calls, texts, and virtual meetings with young adults connected to Selfless Love Foundation as well as provides on-site engagement with Brown’s Harbor.

The Youth Engagement Coordinator supports statewide youth engagement, guiding the development of youth councils across the state and assists with engagement of young adults in leadership development. They are responsible for the collection and management of contact information.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Education, or Event Coordination
• Experience: 3 years working with young adults ages 13-23, formally in foster care
• Location: Must reside in Broward County, Florida
• Technical: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with CRM software like HubSpot, and familiarity with Zoom, G-Suite, and Dropbox
• Travel: 25% requirement to include some nights and weekends and must have a valid Florida Driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Must hold or be able to pass a level 2 background check
• Work Environment: Remote work with stable internet connection and dedicated workspace.

Responsibilities:

• Youth Engagement and Development
  • Guide the development of youth councils statewide
  • Engage young adults in leadership development activities
• Administrative and Communication Tasks
  • Manage the Programs team contact database
  • Encourage youth participation in calls, Town Halls, and trainings
  • Obtain and maintain signed documentation and releases for events
  • Acknowledge youth milestones (birthdays, holidays, graduation)
• Event Coordination
  • Coordinate and monitor end-of-year surveys and gifts
  • Manage quarterly events in collaboration with Brown’s Harbor
  • Oversee Foster Youth Voice Month Movement events in October
  • Assist with travel and logistics for events like the Florida Coalition for Children Conference, Dream Tank, etc.
• Training and Presentation
  • Co-present trainings with the OVI Network Coordinator
  • Facilitate in-person and online trainings
• Marketing and Outreach
  • Develop engaging content and marketing materials
  • Maintain records of events and materials sent to partners
• Program Management
  • Assist in creating and managing the Brown’s Harbor Ambassador program and Brown’s Boutique
  • Establish processes for engaging new or interested youth
  • Implement and facilitate a life skills program at Brown’s Harbor transitional housing location

Additional Notes

• Must establish positive working relationships with youth system professionals and stakeholders
• Night and weekend availability for meetings and events
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
