Teddy G's Pub & Grille is Hiring a Head Chef Near Sturbridge, MA

Teddy G’s, a popular, high-volume America pub-style restaurant is growing, and our head chef is moving into an executive chef role so we need a new head chef/kitchen manager to supervise the daily back of house operations with a cheery attitude. Responsibilities include creating daily specials, managing and directing food prep and cooking, working the line when necessary, maintaining a fully-stocked kitchen inventory, and complying with safety and cleanliness standards.

The successful candidate will work closely with management at all levels, manage, motivate and inspire our small kitchen team, and ensure our customers have a pleasant dining experience, with all plates properly cooked and served on time. Work schedule includes some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year proven work experience in kitchen leadership role (Kitchen Manager, Supervisor, Sous Chef, Head Chef)
  • Team player with excellent organizational skillsStrong work ethic & reliable
  • High volume kitchen experience
  • Ability to manage a team in fast-paced work environment
  • ServSafe Certified is a plus
  • Mass Allergen Awareness Training is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food orders
  • Work the line during busy times
  • Supervise food prep and cooking
  • Check food plating and temperature
  • Schedule kitchen staff shifts
  • Order food supplies and kitchen equipment, as needed
  • Train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques
  • Store food products in compliance with safety practices
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area
