Position Title: Plant Supervisor
Department: Production
Report To: VP of Operations
FLSA: Exempt
Status: Full Time, Salary
Salary Range: $70-$75K

Job Summary: The Plant Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the plant is functioning effectively and efficiently. The manager will oversee all production and maintenance employees and processes, including safety and quality. Monday-Friday, hours TBD.
Key Responsibilities: (Other duties, tasks and projects as assigned)
  • Develop operational component forecasts; monitor expenses and reports all variances
  • Champion a culture where safety, cleanliness, and quality are high priorities.
  • Establish the leadership and set strategic direction for the production team. Create the Plant’s vision to nurture a “People-Centric” culture that achieves the Plant’s goals and the development of plant personnel and the leadership team.
  • Implement process and utilize systems to ensure plant availability and reliability
  • Collaborate across integrated supply chain functions and consistently ensure high quality products are manufactured to meet or exceed customer expectations in a timely manner
  • Oversee the daily production operations and monitor operations for efficiency and safety, ensuring all applicable regulatory requirements are met
  • Execute production schedules in order to achieve daily production targets and` meet company and customer requirements with continuous improvement
  • Manage and serve as a leader and mentor for the production and maintenance teams
  • Routinely monitor machine performance reports and processes to ensure effective operations and provide guidelines to ensure timely repair and efficient predictive and preventative maintenance of machinery
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor’s Degree, preferred, with 5-7 years in a management role (food or beverage industry preferred), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production facility
  • Exceptional problem solving and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make decisions and drive key metrics
  • Proficient computer skills; Windows, Microsoft Suites, Data Entry Systems, ERP / Inventory Control Systems, phone systems and email systems
Competitive compensation package including health benefits, vacation time, and sick time
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Up to 35 direct reports, as well as indirect supervision of up to 50 employees and temporary associates.
Work Environment: Operates in a professional office environment as well as within a manufacturing environment subject to inside environmental conditions and noise. Often required to sit, use repetitive hand motion, hear, listen, talk, stand, and walk. Often required to climb stairs, reach overhead, pull, push, and lift up to 50 pounds.
