The Monument Companies is Hiring a Pool Attendant - Portsmouth Near Portsmouth, VA
Legend Property Group has many apartment communities across the Richmond and Hampton Roads area in need of part-time associates to maintain and monitor cleanliness of our pool amenities for the summer. We are looking for an energetic, dependable, associate who is eager to learn about facility maintenance and can provide our residents with world-class customer service. The Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the pool area throughout the summer and is also charged with upholding pool rules to ensure all guests can enjoy the pool safely.
The Pool Attendant is not a lifeguard position.
The Pool Attendant must pass a Certified Pool Operator exam upon hire.
Pool Attendants must be at least 18 years of age.
This position is seasonal. It is only available from Memorial Day until Labor Day (when the pools are open).
This position is part time. Pool Attendants will not work more than 30 hours per week.
Working hours at the Portsmouth pool location will be daily from 10 am to 7 pm.
Rate of pay is $12 per hour.
Essential Job Functions:
Opening and/or Closing the pool each shift
Straightening and opening and/or closing pool furniture,
emptying trash cans
skimming the pool
safety check of the entire pool area
beginning and/or closing the pool log for the day
Checking pool passes/ logging guests
As residents enter the pool area, you are required to check that they have their pool pass on them.
The resident will need to sign in and log if they are bringing any guests with them. (there is a 2-guest max per leaseholder).
No guests are to be left unattended at the pool without a leaseholder present. Ensure that the pool capacity is not exceeded.
Pool Chemical Logbook/Balancing
Once every hour the pool needs to be tested and all readings logged into the Pool Chemical Logbook with the initials of the pool attendant that conducted the testing.
If any of the readings are off, you must immediately communicate with the Legend Property Group Certified Pool Operator Maintenance Technician for assistance.
Pool Cleanliness
Throughout the shift it is required that you maintain a clean and sanitary pool and surrounding area.
Sanitize pool furniture throughout the day/between guests as needed
Empty trash cans as needed
Skim the pool/vacuum the pool as necessary throughout the day.
Do not vacuum if residents are in the pool.
Clean out the pool gutters daily.
Backwashing the pool should occur every other day and as needed along with brushing the sides of the pool walls.
The pool deck area should be cleaned regularly
Uphold Policy/ Pool Rules
Ensure all pool rules and regulations are always being met.
Report any violations directly to property management.
Shift Coverage
If you are unable to make your shift, we require 2 hours advance notice and that you find coverage for your shift.
Safety
the Pool Attendant is not a lifeguard and is not liable for swimmer safety. If an emergency incident occurs while you are working, dial 911.
