Who You Are: While serving as a lab teacher to the Early Care and Education students, the Assistant Teacher I floats between multiple classrooms to assist the Lead Teachers in providing a high-quality, safe, calm, nurturing, and playful environment that will center around the development of a child’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive skills. What You'll Do
ELL Assistant Teachers are individual contributors and collaborative team members working in a task-oriented environment while planning and providing high-quality educational experiences for children ages 6 weeks to 4 years. Semi-transactional, an Assistant Teacher focuses on establishing a safe, calm, nurturing, and playful environment that develops young children's appropriate physical, social, emotional, and cognitive skills. Teachers are highly focused on building relationships with the Early Care and Education students, ELL children and parents, and excellent communication skills are essential. As lab teachers for high school students, ELL teachers must model exemplary leadership skills in their daily work. Non-Exempt

Salary: $14.00 /hour DOE
